International travel might involve exposure to diseases not usually found in Australia. We encourage a visit with one of our doctors to discuss the destinations planned and risks associated with travel.
There are many vaccinations and other preventative strategies that should be employed to protect all travellers.
We stock a range of commonly used vaccines for diseases including:
- Hepatitis A & B
- Yellow Fever
- Rabies (Can be obtained)
and we provide advice on Malaria, Cholera and other conditions.
Even if you have been previously vaccinated against these diseases, you may need a booster to keep your protection up to date, as the protection from some vaccines may only last 1 year.
Please make an appointment ideally 6-8 weeks in advance of your travel date to discuss your destination, time of year and your personal medical history and we will recommend an appropriate schedule of travel injections.
