Dr Ryszard Szymanski


“Richard” graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1979.

He chose to specialise in General Practice and to gain maximum experience worked in country hospitals for four years. To top off his training he worked at Caulfield Hospital in their Geriatric ward prior to beginning private practice in Cheltenham Medical Centre in 1986.

His medical interests include Geriatrics (he cares for over 40 patients in three aged care facilities), musculoskeletal problems and people with stress and anxiety. He enjoys minor surgery and has cured many ingrown toenails.

Ryszard has three children. He is a passionate St Kilda supporter, attending most of their Melbourne matches. He also enjoys tennis and bike riding and regularly jogs.

Ryszard has a great interest in passing on his experience to medical students and trainee doctors as they are the future General Practitioners.

Dr Katrina Reid


Katrina graduated from Monash University and has been a General Practitioner in the Bayside area for 15 years.  While she is interested in all aspects of Family Medicine, Katrina  has a special interest in Women’s and Children’s Health, in particular pregnancy care.  Katrina is a registered Shared Care Provider with Sandringham Hospital and Monash Health (Monash and Dandenong Hospitals).

Katrina  is able to perform minor surgical procedures such as the removal of skin lesions, as well as Implanon insertion.

Katrina also has an interest in the care of the elderly and management of chronic health conditions.  She regularly visits 3 local residential aged care facilities.

She has two  sons and an assortment of pets.  Any spare time she can find is spent escaping to the beach and enjoying the shenanigans of family life!

Dr Danny Leber

MBBS (Hons) Dipl. Obstet RACOG

Danny enjoys all aspects of general practice.  During his training for general practice, he worked in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, psychiatry and emergency medicine.

His other interests include travel, music, movies, restaurants, cycling and walking.

He enjoys making contributions to the community outside work, and has donated blood to the Australian Red Cross Blood Bank more than 100 times.

In his younger days he appeared on several television shows, including Sale of the Century, It’s Academic, The Weakest Link and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

He has two grown up daughters.

He is a long-suffering Saints supporter, and is patiently waiting for the Saints to win their 2nd premiership!  He could be waiting a long time!

Dr Paul Jenkins


Paul initially trained as a country GP. He is experienced in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Anaesthetics. Paul offers procedures in Ingrown toenails, skin lesion removal, IUD insertion and removal, Implanon insertion and removal.

Paul is married with two children and his dog Ollie who is a nine year old Maltese Shitzu cross. He enjoys walking the dog, enjoying time at Sandy Point and bushwalking around Wilsons Promontory. 

Paul also enjoys a fine wine and barracks for Collingwood.

Dr Peter Mitchell


Peter has spent 30 years as a GP in Bayside area, having taken 15 months away from the area in that time to work on the Murray as a country doctor. With training at Monash University, Dandenong, Mildura plus The Royal Children’s Hospital as well as the RACGP Family Medicine Program.

Peter is experienced in all aspects of medicine at any age.

Seeing children is the highlight of his day and his reputation for a consistent supply of jelly beans is well deserved! 

Peter has numerous daily appointments set aside for patients aged 15 and under to ensure same day treatment, given the importance of healthcare at these ages. He is skilled at skin lesion removal. 

Peter’s wife Tracey also works as a GP and their 3 children are grown up.

Once a keen tennis player and swimmer, unfortunately injuries meant he had to quit both. Peter also enjoyed playing golf to a handicap of 10, until family priorities took over. He is currently a weekend warrior lycra wearing cyclist.

Educating and engaging patients about their health is Peter’s passion. He is always happy to see new faces and new families.
